  1. 33-meter Sportfisher From Jarrett Bay Boatworks
Sportfisher yachts have been around for a long time now and there are alot of them cruising and exploiting offshore grounds around the world. However, the ultra large sportfisher yachts are becoming more and more common now. We are talking about boats that are pushing towards 30-meters LOA and over. That market is really heating up with yards jostling for recognition as the builder of the world's largest yacht of this type. Right now, that distinction goes to Yachting Developments of New Zealand with their 40-meter giant called "Lanakai".
  2. Jarrett Bay Boatworks in the United States have been building pretty large ones too and just last year they launched and delivered their flagship, the 27.5-meter "Jaruco". Yachting Developments recently announced a contract to build a 33-meter sportfisher and now Jarrett Bay has tossed a design 'overboard' to see who will bite. Their JB110 as they call it, will be a performer as can be imagined. Just under 22,000 LT of fuel will feed a pair of MTU 16V 4000 M94Ls. This JB110 is actually 33.75-meters LOA with a beam of 8.38-meters and a pretty skinny draft of just 1.75-meters. Accommodation is envisioned for eight guests that includes and owner suite, a double and two twins. Two crew will sleep in rooms aft of the engine room if necessary. Below is a shot of Jaruco for comparison.
