  1. Baltic Details 142 Foiling Sloop
The Baltic 142 Foiling Sloop is another project that this Finnish yard is working on. The yacht is borrowing a piece of technology seen in America's Cup racing. On the 142 Baltic sloop there is a Dynamic Stability System (DSS) Sliding Foil under the waterline. This appendage is expected to give the 142 Baltic sloop added stability and reduce heel and pitch and in conjunction with a lifting keel and twin rudder system, sailing should be much more commanding. Other green and high-tech qualities include a diesel-electric drive train and generation system. The ability to provide ten hours of silent mode while still operating all hotel aspects. There is self-sustaining power generation while sailing. A new quadrilateral headsail is being considered.
  2. Designed by Ben Ainslie Racing (BAR Technologies), located in Portsmouth, UK, the system is expected to be fused into a design from Farr Yacht Design Naval Architects. The latter has working experience with Baltic Yachts and has collaborated on a number of high-performance sailing yachts before. Light displacement is expected to be around 140 tonnes with an LOA of 43.3-meters and a beam of 9.00-meters. Draft is variable because of the lifting keel system. With the keel down, the draft is extended to 6.5-meters and with it retracted, she draws around 3.8-meters. She will be built of carbon pre-preg/Corecell. The interior is by Lucio Micheletti as well as some of the exterior elements. Accommodation is for six to eight guests in four cabins.
