  1. "Sakura" Under Construction At Feadship
Feadship has released information about a superyacht they are currently working on. This one is the 71.75-meter project named "Sakura". With a design by Studio De Voogt on the exterior and an interior by FM Architettura the yacht boasts many onboard facilities for its future owner and guests. By future owner we mean the yacht is being built on speculation with no client attached to the project so far. This fact makes her the only Feadship to be in build without an owner. However, it presents as a good opportunity for a client to take-up the build while its construction is already underway.
  2. With a name like Sakura one can tell the direction Feadship was going in with this project. Sakura is in reference to the quasi-Japanese styling onboard. Sakura by the way, is what Japanese refer to as Cherry Blossom. The interior work by FM Architettura blends styles from Japanese minimalism as well as Scandinavian chic. Overall the yacht contains all the facilities of a larger 100-meter yacht but within the frame of a smaller 72-meter.
  3. Some of these features include a large wellness area which itself contains a spa, sauna, gym and other features that are being left open to interpretation for now when a client purchases the vessel. Access to this area is easy for all guests and with a passage through the engine room or via large main steps on the stern the wellness area is within reach. On the main deck aft, there is a 7-meter swimming pool. On the forward sundeck there is a dip-pool encapsulated in the structure that hosts a bar. Vast sunpad region is elevated slightly above the dip-pool.
  4. It is envisioned that there will be as many a seven guest staterooms onboard the 72-meter superyacht. The owners suite will take position on the forward upper deck area nestled just aft of the touch-and-go area of the bow. This suite has floor-to-ceiling windows that wrap around to produce approximately 270-degree vistas for the owner. Four other cabins along with two VIP grade suites remain for the guests to utilize. In total 14 guests can be accommodated and 18 crew.
  5. Sakura will be equipped with twin MTU marine diesel engines, providing her with a speed in the region of 14.5-knots. Dial her back for more efficiency and a continuous cruising speed of 12-knots gains a range of 4,500 nautical miles. This vessel is expected to be completed for May 2025 and represents the ideal time for an owner to jump aboard and 'skip the waiting line'
