Evo V8 Yacht Launches At EVO Yachts

EVO Yachts has launched their flagship yacht the 24-meter Evo V8. You might have known this vessel while it was in the design phase as the Velar 78. The design lines both outside and internally are by Valerio Rivellini Yacht Design while the naval architecture is in-house by the yard. With the yacht being launched to the water last week it is now time to further systems test with a sea trial period in time for delivery to her Italian owner. If the Cannes Yachting Festival is staged this year, this yacht will make its debut at the show.

EVO Yachts sought to create a platform that incorporated some distinctive features found on both motor and sailing yachts. This was to bridge the gap between the two types of vessels and give the owner and operator an experience from the two worlds while on the same vessel. For example, she comes with a yacht wheel to give her the feel of a sailing yacht, but also a joystick for easy maneuvering, like most motor yachts. Other features onboard include an open aft beach club which is accentuated by two fold-down terraces on the sides. The superstructure is largely fitted with glass giving the occupants on the interior profound views out. The lower deck where the cabins are located also gets the treatment with ample glazing to the hull. Look out for this vessel on the water later this year.
