  1. Flagship De Antonio D60
De Antonio Yachts is a Spanish builder who has a packed range of performance-oriented small yachts that span from the E23 all the way up to the D60. In between them there is D29, D32, D36, D42 and D50. The D60 now represents the top of the range and this flagship features outboard power as its performance impetus. In fact, all of the models are fitted with outboard power. However, just looking at the vessels, it is not readily apparent as we normally see outboards strapped to the aft platform of a vessel.
  2. De Antonio Yachts went out of their way to hide the outboard units on their vessels. The area aft that looks like a small tender garage is where the outboards are hiding. To access them is simply a button-press which lifts part of the platform to reveal them. There is small garage space to stow a Williams MiniJet 280. In terms of the outboards themselves, the standard outboard power entail 4 400 horse power Mercurys. However, there is provision for the optional 600 horse power Verado engines.
  3. Depending on the engines chosen, the fast cruising speed range is in the region of 25-34-knots. Top speed is approximately 45-knots although the yard suggests it is closer to 48-knots. Construction of the vessel is via fiberglass along with carbon fiber reinforcement in the right areas and forming a twin-stepped hull. Either way, there is decent performance from this class of yacht. The first hull went to a racing car driver client.
  4. In terms of the onboard experience, guests will be able to sleep overnight in either a two or three-cabin layout. The two-cabin layout likely will be more attractive to clients as the lower deck will not be as congested and more room can be devoted to storage. In fact, given the outboard power arrangement, there is more room in the aft vs inboard power.
