32-meter "Gatto" Launches At Cantiere delle Marche

Last week, Italian yard Cantiere delle Marche launched their latest yacht, the 32-meter "Gatto". This expedition type yacht was built with a full steel hull and large bulbous bow while the superstructure was fashioned in aluminum. The project was initiated back in 2016 and now the fruits of the yard's labour have come to reality. Gatto is a collaboration between CdM and Hydro Tec while the interior is the work of Francesco Guida Design.

Onboard you will find accommodation for guests and owner on two decks. The owner has their sanctuary on the main deck in the traditional forward position. For guests, the lower deck is their domain where four cabins are waiting to be chosen each with large square and rectangular windows dedicated. The crew rooms are also located on the lower deck where three double bed cabins suffice the crew complement.

Gatto is a member of the Acciaio 105 model and she carries a pair of CAT C18s. They each have around 500 horse power, not exactly alot of power but they will provide the owner great autonomy and endurance. This yacht should be able to cross the Atlantic on her own bottom at a consistent 10-knots. The top end speed is a modest 13-knots. We look forward to seeing this 250GT vessel completed and roaming the world's oceans in the coming months.
