  1. Beneteau To Present Swift Trawler 48 In U.S
Beneteau has the new Swift Trawler 48 and the first hull was supposed to have premiered at the 2022 Boot Dusseldorf this month but with the recent news of the cancellation of the Boot Dusseldorf we will have to wait a bit longer to see this yacht in show. In fact the next show on the Beneteau schedule should be the Miami Yacht Show in February. We will see if this show gets the greenlight and the yacht will make it's U.S debut there if all goes to plan.
  2. According to Beneteau, Hull 1 is fitted with 380-horser power Cummins diesels while the second hull will be fitted with slightly more powerful Cummins 425 horse power Cummins. This second hull is what is expected to make an appearance at the Miami Yacht Show. With 1,930 LT of fuel on board you can expect a range of +600 nautical miles at 9-knots displacement speed or 280 nautical miles at 18-knots efficient planing speed whilst retaining a fuel reserve of 10%. This in combination with 640 LT of fresh water allows for considerable autonomy away from the dock. The more powerful Cummins 425 horse power set up will permit a top end of 25-knots. Remember, these figures are based on several variables like Zero sea state, 50% loading, clean hull & drivetrain.
  3. The yacht is capable of bluewater cruising and is rated for 12 persons in CE Category B. Onboard the Swift Trawler 48 can easily sleep up to eight persons with three cabins in the lower accommodation. In the lower accommodation, the forward owner’s cabin features a double berth that lifts up to reveal plentiful stowage underneath. There are overhead lockers & wardrobes, large hull windows with inset portlights & overhead hatch which floods the cabin with natural light and cross ventilation. The en-suite bathroom includes a separate shower cubicle with teak slatted seat. The port guest cabin benefits from a large hull window with inset portlight, stowage, wardrobe and two single berths with an infill to make up a double berth. Note this cabin also features an en-suite door to the portside day head – in which you will also find a separate shower cubicle with teak slatted seat. The starboard guest cabin has two portlights, a transverse double berth and a double door wardrobe that is large enough to take an optional washer/dryer in the base. If all goes well the 425 horsepower Cummins-fitted Swift Trawler 48 will make its debut in the U.S next month.
