  1. First DOM 133 By Baglietto Commences Outfitting
Italian builder Baglietto has a new range of yachts called the DOM line which is a new form-factor for them and for persons who closely follow all-things Baglietto. The DOM 133 is the second model in this new lineup from the yard which is designed in conjunction with Stefano Vafiadis. For some perspective, the first model in the DOM line is the DOM 123 and has the name "Run Away" which actually has been launched already. The first DOM 133 is well under construction and the superstructure and hull are finished so far with the yacht moved to outfitting.
  2. At this stage there is no owner so the yacht is being built on speculation. Future guests onboard the DOM 133 will have plenty of exterior space to relax and take in the views. By judging from the following rendering this deck arrangement will aid in this experience for the guests. With multiple sunpadded areas fore and aft to al-fresco niches and pool and jaccuzi on deck, this serves for the basic fulfillment of guest enjoyment. Guests will also enjoy the fact that this yacht will be a hybrid vessel. This means the yacht utilizes conventional diesel means for propulsion but also has electric motors as well as batteries and will be able to switch between modes depending on what it needed at the time. For example, with the batteries well charged, the DOM 133 will be able to sit at anchor and sip energy from them for up to 10 hours. Overnight there is zero noise from the generators producing super quiet conditions for sleep for the guests and the fish!
  3. Top speed -on paper- of the DOM 133 utilizing the CAT C32s that are onboard should be 17-knots. In hybrid mode, using diesel-electric the vessel's range can be increased to 7,500 nautical miles at continuous 10-knots. This 40-meter yacht can cross oceans if needed. While the first DOM 123, Run Away is set to be delivered to her owner after being launched back in June or July, the first DOM 133 should be completed in April of 2022.
