First 110 Kando Launches At AvA Yachts

AvA Yachts in Turkey has launched their first 110 Kando Yacht of that new line. The second hull is already well under construction and reportedly being built for a well-known sports athlete. There is also a 3rd hull that is currently available for sale. As for the first hull this one has a neutral-toned paint job with the superstructure being finished in the traditional white while the hull is done in a slightly darker by creamy colour.

The design all around is in-house by AvA Yachts pretty much because this was supposed to be a one-off custom project but now it is turning out to be a mini-series at the stage. The interior is lined with American Walnut and Wenge. Accommodation is for up to ten guests with a full-beam master suite on the forward main deck and a twin and three doubles on the lower deck.

Performance is led by a pair of Volvo Penta 650 horse power engines which are capable of providing the yacht with a 14-knot top speed. More efficient cruising is set at 12-knots and a decent range if you are willing to run at trawl speeds. At less than 10-knots the 110 Kando can probably operate for approximately 6,000 nautical miles using 45,000 LT of fuel. Interesting to note is that her construction is using steel for the hull and aluminium for the superstructure. At this 36-meter size yachts tend to be still built in fiberglass.
