News: Amels/Damen Yachting LE242 "Synthesis" Delivered

The newest yacht from the Amels/Damen Yachting company has been delivered earlier this week. The fifth Limited Editions 242, "Synthesis" has been delivered to her owner and left the Damen Yachts facilities to embark on its maiden voyage. Sporting a design by Tim Heywood on the exterior and Naval Architecture by Damen Yachting, the custom superyacht has a fully bespoke interior by the Winch Design firm.

The yacht is mainly all white on the exterior with a grey double boot striping at the waterline. Teak cap rails also line the railings around most of the exterior decks offering a slightly different look to the other LE242 units currently in service. The owner of Synthesis is a repeat client of Amels and therefore knows what they wanted specifically for this build. The owner has an entire deck dedicated to themselves which is complemented by a foredeck jacuzzi. The interior volume onboard this 74-meter superyacht is 1,790 GT.

Onboard there are six (6) cabins for up to twelve (12) guests and room for eighteen (18) plus captain & crew. Economically cruising at a modest 12.5-knots Synthesis will be able to reach any destination within 5,000 nautical miles carrying 155,000 LT of fuel. Her engine type/brand is not known at this stage but it is likely she is carrying a pair of CAT 3516s. If pressed for time she can sprint at 16.5-knots with her substantial horsepower. Synthesis is the fifth LE242 to be delivered and as far as is known there are another two hulls that are advanced in the works, 24206 and 24207 for 2021 and 2022 respectively.
