Turkish builder Alia Yachts has introduced a 16-meter Day Boat to the market. It came about from the interest from a very important client to the yard and perhaps if it didn't come from them this yacht would not be in existence. With the expertise of Bill Dixon, the exterior design was formulated. The main deck planning takes advantage of the space provided decently and offers what can be considered an open saloon and a summer kitchen.

However, below deck there is space for the sole cabin which is towards the bow offering a kind-off VIP cabin experience. Below is large enough to house an ensuite bathroom with shower. As depicted in the render below, the cabin has storage lining the upper sides. With the bed placed centrally along the centerline one of the highlights of the room is the overhead skylight providing copious amounts of natural light to the space.

Alia Yachts is known more for building much larger motoryachts but this 16-meter Day Boat might just be a niche for the Turkish yard. They have a couple of them sold and are in negotiations with other clients. They are not intending to make this any production model but more of a mini-series as long as the demand is there. The 16-meter is powered by a pair of Volvo Penta IPS 650s expected to power it to a 35-knot top end. More powerful engines would see a higher top-end.
