Turkish builder AES Yachts is currently working on a 35-meter yacht which they have designated as NB066. The vessel has three interior decks with a sun deck. The design of the vessel both on the interior and exterior is by Hot Lab while the Naval Architecture work was done by Unique Yacht Design. While not a true explorer the yard has been fashioning the vessel to have great range and efficient speeds.

On the subject of performance, NB066 will be equipped with a pair of MAN 800 horse power engines. At around 11.5-knots she will have a range of 3,500 nautical miles but wide open her top speed is expected to be 14-knots. Construction is in steel for the hull and aluminum for the superstructure. The exterior design nods to the type of yacht she will be offering her future owners the ability to roam respectable distances and access near-shore points with her relatively slim 2.25-meter draft.

The interior has been designed by Hot Lab and was formulated around dark and cream tones with splashes of color. The accommodations for guests follows a similar theme but has an overall lighter feel to the rooms. The salon is open plan with mirrored sofa setup for cozy entertaining while forward of this area is the formal dining room. Herringbone-patterned timber floors are proposed. The design can be considered to be minimalist contemporary.

AES suggests that the guest count is 10 in five cabins but they can possibly fit six guest cabins onboard with the capacity to sleep twelve (12) guests. Below gives an idea of the décor Hot Lab was going for. Neutral tones are in this particular cabin but the luxe sophistication in the proposed finishes and surfaces is evident. The room for the principal or lucky guest is full-beam as well having large windows on either side helping to render a light-filled space. The interior volume is 298 GT.

Guest oriented features include a beach club which is located on the aft lower deck easily accessed by coming down either of the two aft stairs leading down to the swim platform. There is a jacuzzi located on the sun deck. There is a semi-private built-in seating region that is located on the foredeck just ahead of the bridge. Many guests tend to like these sort-of arrangements where they can get away from everyone else for some relative quiet time. The bulwarks running along the aides of the yacht in the area of the main salon are 'cut-out' to improve views from the interior.

The tender is stored on the upper aft deck where the crew will launch and retrieve it via the dedicated crane. Speaking of crew, the yacht is proposed to accommodate up to 7 crew members all being slept on the lower deck. AES Yachts has been keeping busy with a number of projects in the works. There is a 68-meter in build along with this 35-meter NB066.
