Abeking & Rasmussen Project 6502 Rolls Out

German superyacht builder Abeking & Rasmussen weaved their way into the spotlight this weekend with the rolling out of their latest superyacht project. This yacht is a 74.5-meter vessel that stands four decks above the waterline. Her beam is a healthy 12.8-meters overall or just over 42-feet. She was built under project number 6502 to a design by Harrison Eidsgaard. Eidsgaard was also responsible for the interior of this build. The general platform is noticeable based on what we have been seeing from A&R in the last few builds but the styling from Eidsgaard is what sets this yacht apart.

Subtle moulded reverse lines create more drama to the midsection of the superstructure while at the aft overhangs, pointed overhangs characterize the edges as can be seen in this grab taken exclusively by DrDuu. The superstructure is white with black accents and contrasts well with the dark grey hull. Speaking of the hull, if you look in the area where the beach club usually is located, expansive glass work can be seen not only above the waterline but descending below it. It suggests this room will definitely have sub-surface views which now seems to be catching on since deliveries like "Savannah" and even S/Y "A". Onboard will have accommodation for up to fourteen guests in seven cabins. The master suite is likely on the forward upperdeck just off the bow. The long bow allows for internal tender storage n a dedicated garage. The hull appears to have full set of underwater lighting and even though the hull is dark grey, the white boot-topping should pick up the lighting well when in operation. This full-displacement superyacht will be delivered to her owner later this year.
