  1. SilverYachts To Build 35-meter SpaceCat Yacht
Australian builder SilverYachts is looking to build a new class of yacht which they call the SpaceCat. It is a 35-meter catamaran hulled motoryacht that they will build in Guangdong Province of China, yes SilverYachts is building in China too. The new yacht is a not-so-surprising collaboration between Espen Oeino and the yard.
  2. Being catamaran hulled, the vessel will have a decent beam and also allow quite spacious living aboard even in just 35-meters of LOA. With a 13.3-meter overall beam there is copious square footage. The exterior deck spaces combine for around 575 square meters and the interior is approximately 300 square meters, that's over 3,000 square feet. Outside there is nearly 6,200 square feet available especially with a sizable sun deck where guests will surely spend quality time.
  3. Onboard, the accommodation for the 35-meter SpaceCat will be in two doubles and two twins each with pullman berths for guests. The owner has a master suite which takes good advantage of her enormous 44-foot beam. Accommodation is for twelve guests inclusive of the owner. She also has room for up to eight crew. Power onboard comes via a pair of Volvo IPS 1050s. These were probably chosen because of their space-saving arrangement. Top speed is calculated to be 21-knots with a cruising speed of 15/16-knots. The SpaceCat was announced at the Singapore Yacht Show and construction is penned to start in May, 2019. Build material will be in aluminium as this yard is accustomed to utilizing. The current major project SilverYachts is working on is the "SilverLOFT" which is anticipated to launch very soon. A render of the SilverLOFT is attached below.
