Gruppo FIPA Adds Another Launch This Year With AB80

Gruppo FIPA has launched another yacht for 2020 and it comes in the form of a beautiful 80-foot performance yacht from Italian builder AB Yachts. We haven't been hearing alot from AB Yachts in recent times so it is good so see them have a build take to the water. The design of the 24-meter AB80 is quite different from previous AB Yachts that were launched therefore making this one standout significantly. The design is actually by ACube Design.

The yacht actually was built for an ambitious owner who wants to operate the vessel by themselves. "The shipyard has been working very closely with the shipowner in order to make all his requests and needs come true, as it happens in any project we work on. We take care of every single detail and the final beauty that emerges is the result of the firm commitment of craftsmen that work hard as our ancestors did with wood and marbles in our own lands," says Francesco Guidetti, President, Gruppo FIPA.

As you know with any AB Yacht, performance is a key aspect of the build. This 24-meter AB80 is no exception. She is likely to have a top speed of 59-knots. Powered by three MJP waterjets that are connected to three MAN V12 2000 horse power engines there is serious power to raise the rooster tail. The owner intends to operate the vessel themselves but there is still provision for two crew to be onboard. For guests and owner, there are four cabins for lodging of up to eight.
