Newbee questions about old CC Commanders

    The 1964-1968 47' Commanders are really getting my buying temperature up, but before I start shopping in earnest, I'd love to get anyone's two cents on the good bad and ugly re these old gals.

    Some things that I've being thinking about are:

    1. For saftey reasons I'm thinking two diesels. Is single engine risk a legit or overblown concern?
    2. How difficult is it to get access to replace a diesel?

    Where in the world is the Commander Club?

    For their own reasons the Commander Club has not joined the Roamer Group on the Yacht Forum site.

    You really need to join the Yahoo Groups Commander club e-mail links to get answers to your questions from people who have owned the 47's.
