    ....the story so far.

This young Italian company is very quickly gaining a strong reputation in the design and construction of large displacement motor yachts in the 30 to 80 metre range.

What is remarkable is the success of their first model, the “470”; it was initially planned to build 3 of these beauties and construction on 470.1 commenced in 2002. The yacht, in steel and aluminium and designed by Walter Franchini, is easily recognizable due to the stunning and innovative design at the stern area: twin sets of stairs rise from the swim platform and ascend almost uninterrupted through all three decks, creating “balconies” between them.

To date, ISA have sold SEVEN of these extraordinary yachts, five of them are presently inside the yard premises.

The shipyard is very busy these days with numerous new builds underway and waiting:

470.1 “APRIL FOOL” has returned to the yard after spending her first year covering over 18,000 nautical miles for her owner and family. The yacht is now “resting” at ISA in a state of the art heated shed before commencing on the next part of her voyage.

470.2 “ELLIX 2” was launched in Summer 2004 and has also made a “grand voyage”; she is currently in the Caribbean with her happy owners.

470.3 “OCEAN VICTORY” launched in Summer 2004. Her interior, created by Cristiano Gatto Design in collaboration with the ISA design team, is minimalist and stylishly modern. All spaces have been fully optimised for comfortable living / cruising.

470.4 will be launched next summer. The owner’s requirements will make the interior of this yacht completely different from the others; classical styling with touches of “art deco”, Tanganika wood and white lacquer make for a breathtaking interior, designed by Michela Reverberi.

470.5 will be the final launch in late Summer 2005. This yacht will be equipped with the most advanced navigational electronics and systems available at the time of launch for a particularly demanding client, who also opted for Maple, Wenge and Zebra woods to ensure a rich and stylish interior, again designed by Cristiano Gatto Design.

470.6 This project will be delivered in early 2006 with an interior designed by Luca Dini.

470.7, recently sold, will be delivered in Summer 2006.

Last, but not least, ISA has composite based production. In this sector, the shipyard boasts three motor yachts currently under construction. After the success of M.Y. “KOLAHA” (the 40m high speed gas-turbine), the yard is building two more of this model.

Then there is the eagerly awaited “ISA 120”. This high performance 36.5m motor yacht, designed by Andrea Vallicelli, is taking shape now and will be launched this summer, with interior again by Cristiano Gatto Design. The layout of this attractive and innovative yacht has been influenced by the 470 design as well as high speed ‘open’ styling. The interest already generated in the ‘marketplace’ by this beautiful new-comer promises to re-confirm International Shipyards Ancona’s dedication and commitment to designing and building the dreams of the most discerning clients.
