NorthStar 112’ Raised Pilothouse Motor Yacht - Sporting the super-clean lines that have become synonymous with Northstar’s entire line, the New 112’ Raised Pilothouse Motor Yacht features blacked-out window panels from stem to stern, accented by sweeping cabin tops and flybridge outlines that are equally contemporary as it’s new hull design, which is the result of a collaborative effort between Jack Sarin and Northstar’s in-house design team. Building on the lineage of the Northwest’s finest craftsmen, every Northstar, no matter what size… represents luxury, comfort and performance. Jerry Clark, a third generation boat builder and his staff have extensive backgrounds in building world-class cruising motoryachts. The yard is state-of-the-art 60,000 sq. ft. facility in Kalama, Washington, right on the Columbia River and also next door to Kelso/Longview where most of the experienced craftsmen reside. North Star Yachts presently employees 125 craftsmen and women with an average of 15.2 years experience in the boat building industry and many of them having more than 30 years experience. The Northwest, with its strong work ethic, has become legendary in its ability to build quality yachts. Shipbuilding, aerospace, and the computer industry have all prospered in this environment of hard working people.
The design parameters of the new 112' include NorthStar’s legendary ride with an interior arrangement plan that offers guests unprecedented spaciousness in a yacht this size. The main deck expanse includes open, yet segmented, seating areas opening to a multi-functional dining area.
Master and VIP staterooms plus two additional guest staterooms, all with their own bathrooms, are more reminiscent of a 130-footer than a 112’.
The Flybridge deck sports a lay-out conducive to entertaining, with wrap around seating in two sections, a 4 stool bar, Jacuzzi and aft tender stowage.
North Star Yachts will build approximately six "custom-quality" yachts a year with production-like efficiency. Some yards may build two or three boats a year and some large production yards may build fifty boats a year. However, too few boats are difficult to build efficiently, while too many boats may increase the difficulty in controlling quality. There are four owners that are involved in the research, development, production and marketing of North Star Yachts. In addition, they employ several of the finest engineeers, including Glenn Bauer, Taylor Olsen, John Meyers and Gene Cote, all of whom are experienced in manufacturing yachts designed by Jack Sarin and Ed Monk, Jr. Northstar has launched four custom-quality yachts and have another four under construction including a North Star 73, a North Star 92, a North Star 105 Tri-Deck Motoryacht and a 100’ Cockpit Motoryacht. There is also a new North Star 80’s series on the drawing board of Jack Sarin scheduled for production this year.
