  1. New Launch: Fryco 35-meter YachtFisherman

LOGOS Marine just launched a FRYCO 35m Yacht Fisherman ready for final outfitting and sea trials. This Yacht Fisherman is the third in a series of Ed Fry designs for the same tournament winning client fishing in the Red Sea.

Powered by triple CAT C32 ACERT engines with ZF gears and trolling valves the speed is in excess of 30 knots with the 5-blade Duncan propellers. The yacht’s maneuvering is enhanced by MMC controls and a TRAC 16” 50 horsepower Bow Thruster.

The 7m (23ft) wide fishing cockpit has hydraulic opening deck hatches for stowage of a Diesel Jet Castoldi 15’ tender launched by a 4 m telescoping Opacmare hydraulic crane. Large refrigerated fish boxes are provided P/S which double for cold stowage on long voyages in the Mediterranean. To port is a cleaning station, on center a tackle locker and entry to shower and six person sauna.

The Galley is a half level down at hull level just forward of the cockpit making it convenient for food storage and preparation. This location keeps the cooking heat and odors out of the interior of the yacht and is ideal for outside service to all decks where most meals are served. The galley includes crew mess with access to the Engineroom, Control Room and crew WC.

The Mizzen Deck up half level from the cockpit has dining for 10 and a guest day head. Through a stainless steel sliding door is the 72 sq/m (775 Sq/ft) Main and Dining Saloons, larger than most 40m yachts. Opening windows allow natural ventilation in fair weather enhancing the experience of the open seas. The interior throughout is finish in an elegant pear wood with light cloth and leather overheads.

A central staircase forward in the Main Saloon provides access to quarters for nine guest, VIP suite forward and Twin Guest Staterooms port and starboard. The Master Suite aft has large opening ports with wind socks to enhance the natural air flow; it is lined with elegant leather ceiling and walls, pear wood furnishing and cedar lined closets. All cabins have adjoining facilities with marble counters, showers and bulkheads. Down half a flight from guest space is the Utility area with washer/dryer and Maids Accommodation; the total crew is 5 persons in three cabins.
  2. The bridge deck is outfitted with lounge seating and sun bathing pads and a full service wet bar. The console folds closed when not in use to protect the instruments and electronics from the elements. Twin P/S ladders lead to the observation area and the upper top which is the platform for the radar, navigation and signal lights.

Power is provided by two 50kW Kilopak gen/sets and a Kohler 17kW night generator; all three gen/sets are paralleled and controlled from an air conditioned Control Room forward of the Engineroom.

The FRYCO design is well lighted with (5) five 1,000W Aqua Signal flood lights and a total of ten underwater lights with an underwater TV camera so the fish activity around the many beautiful reefs of the Red sea can be viewed on the 50” TV screen in the main saloon.
