  1. Enrico Gobbi unveils new 88.5-meter superyacht design

A new design for an 88.5-meter superyacht has been unveiled by Team 4 Design. Headed by Enrico Gobbi, the design focuses on broad deck spaces and large glazed areas to maximize the interaction of light and view. Gobbi comments, ‘Another part of the brief was to have a lot of glass, clients want wide windows for views.’

One of the main features of the yacht design is the owner's deck or decks I should say. The master stateroom is actually situated across two of the uppermost decks of the design. The owner's deck boasts other prim and proper features. Gym and ensuite bathrooms are also in the offing. A heli-pad is located outside of the lower level owner's deck. They can easily arrive by the yacht's helicopter and stroll into the lower level of the owner's suite. Subject to potential owners' preferences the yacht can have four double guest cabins and a VIP on the main deck. Additionally there is a VIP types cabin situated on the upper deck. She will provide cabins for 25 crew members to sleep.
  2. Another stunning feature is the large wall of glass located amidships on the superstructure decks. Looking on the profile view of the yacht this glass wall alligns perfectly with the main mast of the yacht, creating harmony, top to bottom in the design. Imagine the view from inside looking out to the ocean or an idyllic panorama. Very possible as the glass runs through the lobby area on all the superstructure decks and terminates on the lower deck level with a fold-out boarding platform.

Further eye-opening features include the main pool of the yacht. The features seem to deal in doubles with the pool on two levels as well. The stern on the yacht cascades towards the ocean like a gentle waterfall. Speaking of waterfalls, one falls out of the roof of the main deck aft overhang and into the upper level of the pool. Guests can enjoy the swim up bar completed with submerged bar seats. The water spills over the edge and down into the other pool. A near beam-wide platform swings out from the aft hull and down to the water-line where it can be furnished with outdoor accessories or deploy the automatic swim ladder. Even though it is just a design it is actually ready to be built. The design has been thoroughly investigated from a technical standpoint.
