  1. New Build: Wally 50-meter Sailboat

For a while we have seen this vessel on the cards by Wally but now the their largest sail vessel this far has been sold. This 50M will be the largest vessel to be built of all composite materials for Wally. The 50M will be built to MCA classifications and specifications at the Fano facility in Italy.

At 50M she will have an enormous hull and this means an abundance of space for the internal spaces especially the cabins. Of all the cabins to note, will be the master cabin. To be situated at the aft of the vessel, this will take full advantage of the wide beam and also connected to the large Wally inspired 'Terrace On The Sea.'

Other cabins with-in will include a set of four double capacity rooms all holding ensuite sets. The crew will have five double capacity cabins with the standard crew mess. On deck, large social areas for lounging and relaxation will be prominent. These will include the forward cockpit, a flybridge, the Terrace On The Sea and after deck areas. Her foredeck is to be characteristically uncluttered utilizing the flush-deck method. However, the fore-deck will house two hidden pockets for the yacht's tenders. There will also be a sizable jacuzzi/pool.

With this vessel being constructed of all composite materials; primarily impregnated carbon, she will be remarkably light. She will have a light displacement of about 230 tonnes enabling her to be a fast sailer. When sailing, her 6M draft will keep her from tipping, however, when at anchor or in shallow confines, her draft can be reduced to 4.5M by way of a lifting keel.

The deckhouse will be one of the highlights, featuring wrap-around glass windows, affording full 360 degree views. Atop the deckhouse will be the flybridge. An area for relaxation and also navigation. Two twin nav-consoles are situated good peripheral views. If all goes according to plan, the new vessel will be delivered in 2010.
