    What is the going price of a good sized can or two of elbow grease, I seem to be in short supply at the moment and the new (to me) boat is demanding it. ;):D

    Anywhere between $150 an hour to $150 a day depending on how qualified the elbow needs to be ...

    Before the pandemic, getting a Non-Tech third hand (strong back-weak mind) was always available and reasonably priced.
    Somewhat Tech help was a small challenge but around and still reasonably priced for what it was.

    Now all impossible.

    Only if if you're willing to pay a premium for that mediocre grease. :)

    I travel by car a LOT and every where I go I see help wanted signs giving a "sign on" bonus. And strangely, its across all pay grades and professions.

    Then you could offer a sign on bonus and good pay and benefits and find you some quality elbow grease.

    The Admiral has suggested I stop wasting time shopping for elbow grease and apply my own. :(

    Don't forget to purchase another chain fall and portable A frame. Charge it to the Admiral's budget..
    Wish I could show you the x-rays of my back.

    LOL, I will tell her that, when I am outside her reach. Maybe on the cell phone.

    Well, that puts your OP question to rest, then.
    You might be the captain, but as we all know, Admiral's "suggestions" dwarf any captain's authority.
    Either apply your own grease, or enter a world of pain, Smokey - pick your poison... :D

    That is correct.
    But still a challenge sometimes for the captain;
    Somebody still has to work on da boat!!
