At the Lauderdale Boat Show, Midnight Express had one of their center console boats custom built just in time for Halloween... as a modern day Pirate Ship. This 39' boat is powered by a trio of mutinous Mercury Verado's and a skeleton crew of 6 armed with cannons and ready for battle.

It was painted by Dave Hunter at Invisions Design. This bow picture shows the battle-torn sails and fully airbrushed hull that imitates wood planks and bulkheads..

The theme is carried throughout the helm with a ships steering wheel, treasure map instrument panel and Blackbeard the Pirate as a mascot...

This aft picture gives a better idea of the over-all theme. Midnight Express has built a number of government and police agency patrol boats through the years. It's somewhat ironic they would build the antithesis of the same. Congratulations to Tom Mason, the owner of Midnight Express, for resurrecting the original rebel spirit. A job well done!

    Now that's the spirit!
