Who knows anything about this exhibiton coming up in Amsterdam mid October? Crewagency mentioned it to me in a email, and that he was going to meet Lars at this, he was hoping I could fly over to it as well. Being Alex is out of town, I was hoping others here on the forum know of where I can find perhaps a web site/page about this exhibition, Has anyone here gone to one prior? What is it like, worth going to again? I am unsure I can make that time slot as I want to be back in Florida for the Ft. Lauderdale show, but if it is worth it and a must see I may look into figuring out my schedule to go there. Any info is greatly appreciated!
Hi LC, This is mainly a trade show; http://www.metstrade.com/home.asp I hope to go there, because I need pieces for our line of production boats. There is a lot to see, but almost too much for you at the early stage of planning you are right now. To meet people from the yacht building biz is not really good either, since most are pretty busy meeting suppliers, attending seminars etc. So even if it is interesting, and we all want to meet with other YachtForums members, it is not the most important venue if you feel it will be hectic to come. /Lars
METS 2005 Exact dates are 15 to 17 November 10AM till 6PM. The biggest trade show in the business, but as Lars said, quite hectic. If and when you need bits and pieces, small or major equipment, even the ones you haven't thought of, this is the place to shop! Best place to stay is the next-door Novotel. I'll be there, shopping for pontoons and other marina stuff, hope to meet Lars and Alex and who knows? CU Luc
