    Hi guys, I will appreciate your help I have a problem on my D2848 le423 starboard Engine when it get 1800rpm the Engine runs fine but after when I get 2000 rpm My display shows and alarm says one of my turbo temperature gets to hot.

    My question is if my turbo is the problem or there is something should I check before take off the turbo.

    The sensor is already checked and it is fine and also the filter it is brand new.

    thanks for your help guys. Cheers

    Take the turbo off, just the cost of a few gaskets at first, could save a rebuild.

    The turbos on my MTU V8's used to run cherry red with heat. Boy, that oil feed earned it's corn.

    I think you have wet turbos (V8-900?).
    Two thoughts;
    Engine coolant may have got low and let some air into the system.
    Some air trapped in the top of the turbo and not venting or traveling out.
    Coolant coos, air does not. Thy to open a vent on the top of the water jacket.

    Pressure control valve or waist gate stuck. I do not think they are serviceable on this model turbo.

    Consult your owners or tech manual on these.

    Don't let this continue, you don't need scrap metal flying thru your motor.
