2008 certainly has been already busy for the Lurssen shipyard with the launch and or delivery of several yachts so far. Al Said (ex project Sunflower), Martha Ann (ex Project Shark), Vive la Vie (ex Project Bounty Hunter) are some that were launched this year. However, another large yacht is scheduled to be launched this year by Lurssen. She is known under the project name of Bermuda. Bermuda is said to be on course for a launch in the Fall season of 2008. *** LOA: 259 feet or 79.20M BOA: 45.6 feet or 13.80M Draught: 12 feet or 3.75M Year: Fall 2008 Speed: 17 knots (cruise) Engines: 2 X CAT 3516 Bow Thruster: Brumvoll 250 HP Sternthruster: Schott Accommodations: Owner & Guests: 18 : Crew: 9 Builder: Lurssen Design: Espen Oenio Interior: Alberto Pinto
Update The 79M Lurssen underconstruction with an intended launch in the Fall season of 2008 has been renamed. Previously known under the project name "Bermuda", she will now be Mad Summer.
"Mad Summer" seems to have its own website in conjuction with its central agent. Lovely interior and exterior spaces.
"Mad Summer" is now back in United States waters. She is currently sitting at the Rybovich Marina. She is also up for sale asking 135-Million Euros and is also chartering for the time being.
Hey, did somebody come across pictures of the repainted TV ex Mad Summer? I found only two pics and I am very curious in seeing more of her...
These were the only two photos, provided by CaptTom that I saw on the forums of her with the then newly repainted hull. http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/lurssen-yacht/12161-lurssen-news-5.html
TV is finally done with her extended trip in the Indian Ocean. TV - IMO 1009699 - Callsign ZCXD5 - ShipSpotting.com - Ship Photos and Ship Tracker
I like the grey hull on her. It is kind-of normal but considering having a baby blue hull for so long... the grey looks different but good.
I personally liked the baby blue more and I bet she has had the grey hull for longer but she has just been in the Indian Ocean with few spotters to take photos of her.
TV was renamed Rocinante recently. So she was probably sold since she als dissappeard form the sales listings? BTW Lürssen got a new website. https://www.***********/en/home/
"Rocinante" has emerged from that refit...appearing to have ben resprayed. The boot colour is definitely different now having a blue on black striping.
