We are somewhat new to yachting and we are looking to buy a two or three year old Galeon either a 460 or 500 fly. Of course we want the best value for our money. We would like to hear from some Galeon owners about their experience with the quality of Galeon. We are sold on the design and layout and believe it to be the best in our price range. What concerns us is the quality of the hull, wiring, AC etc. Any feedback from actual owners would be very much appreciated. We understand that yachts cost a fair amount to own and maintain but we don't want a money pit.

Good question, and while I'm not a Galeon Owner, I've delivered a lot of them for the local MarineMax Dealer as well as for private clients. I recently delivered a 2019 500 Fly from the Ohio Marine Max store to the NE Miami store. Trip was 15 days of running, and I will say that I was / am very impressed with that boat. My only complaint was the fuel tank was pretty small, and a lot of days I had to stop for fuel 2 times. However, the build quality was pretty good, and the layout was very nice for a 50. I had a Mate with me and we were comfortable for averaging 250NM per day while running it.

65 hrs in we’ve been extremely pleased with our 2021 500 Fly. Took delivery in San Diego January and Marinemax TX sent 4 guys out for 5 days to assist with commissioning which was great. Build quality is exceptional and service as needed so far. Highly recommend one with Seakeeper. The design and layout as you already know is like none other!
