To get a jump on his celebrating (since it does take longer to get things going at this ripe age), birthday wishes are in order for the "mind-behind-the-site".

Carl will be turning the BIG FIVE-0 this weekend.

Let me be the first to wish a Happy Birthday, from someone who now knows that there is life after 50.

All the best buddy. Thanks for YF and your friendship.

    Tom

PS: Take it like a man, don't POOF the thread. lol

LMAO! I was hoping this day would pass without notice because I’m not 50. I'm 49.95, plus tax!

Thank you for welcoming me to the feeble old fart club. Sniff, sniff. It smells like Depends. I’m leaving now.

    Happy Birthday Carl.

I hope you have a good one and don't have too bad a hangover.

So that's it then, Game Over.

Being 50 means wearing the check golfing pants all day, driving a brown Caddy Brougham straddling two lanes and never getting over 8 knots again.

    Doesn't it??????

    Happy Birthday Carl.

    Dave

    Happy Birthday Carl!

Lots of people will tell you that it’s all down hill from now on – but they are wrong.

You’ve got so much to look forward to! New hips, new knees, a pacemaker and those special blue pills :)

I hope you have a great weekend surrounded by those you love and…

May you live as long and you want to; and want to as long as you live

Best wishes for a great day.

    David.

A little hair dye, a girdle and you'll be fine. When I was in Florida we used to refer to Q-tips. Just get a big old Cadi, shrink down in the seat so only a puff of white shows from behind and enjoy the earlybird specials. Don't forget to start riding in the left lane doing 20 under the speed limit and turn on your left turn signal just before making your right turns. That's all there is to it. Enjoy. Happy Birthday.:D

  14. When I turned 50 a friend gave to me a HAPPY 50TH coffee mug, but it sat in the back of the kitchen cabinet for years because I did not like to see it first thing in the morning. Now that I am over 60, I like that mug a lot. Have a Happy Birthday weekend!

    Carl,
I turned 50 last November and my wife and I went with another couple to Key West and closed down Duval Street. Life is great at our age. You can now join AARP. You can look forward to taking morning medication for things like blood pressure and lowering cholesterol. I'm sure your doctor will also recommend the dreaded colonoscopy sooner or later. The best part of being our age is that we wiser than before but yet young enough to still have some fun. Happy Birthday.

Isn't that supposed to start at 40...? (Not that I know.... I'm the better part of a decade away from knowing.)

I was trying to think of something witty to add, but haven't come up with anything not already posted. (Old caddies, bad driving, early-bird specials...) You guys already got the good ones. LOL

If it's any consolation... you don't look 50!

That's what happens when you're still a baby.;) Don't worry, as you body slows your wit speeds up. I wonder if anyone here would go back to their 20's or 30's even if they could. I enjoyed mine, but no way would I go back.

Me, I would and invest in some good worthwhile stocks like BP, Stanford and Madhoff Banking or some sub-prime realestate.

    Oh, hang on a minute....................:D
