LADY IN BLUE to debut at FLIBS!

First opportunity for U.S. to see Amels LIMITED EDITION series

Amels will be exhibiting at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, with its stand in the Superyacht Builders & Designers tent. Amels will also present a special bonus for brokers, captains and, in particular, clients interested in the new LIMITED EDITIONS AMELS 171. The 52-meter (171-foot) LADY IN BLUE will be on display nearby at the Hall of Fame Floating Dock, courtesy of ***** Yacht & Ship, her Worldwide Central Agents.

LADY IN BLUE, launched in 2004, was created by Amels with a uniquely elegant interior designed by Paris-based Studio Alberto Pinto in cooperation with the gifted Italian architect Laura Sessa. The design made highly original use of many natural, earth-toned materials, including sharkskin leather, parchment, and eight varieties of rare wood, all harmoniously assembled into a gracious, inviting unity.

The wide acclaim the LADY IN BLUE interior received inspired Amels to ask Sessa to apply her remarkable originality to the interior design of the groundbreaking new LIMITED EDITIONS AMELS 171. Designed by Tim Heywood, the AMELS 171 was introduced to the world at the 2005 Monaco Yacht Show. The reaction among clients, brokers, and the yachting press was nothing short of spectacular, and within just a few months three were sold. A fourth is now ready for sale and the fifth and sixth are under construction available for delivery in 2009.

A viewing of LADY IN BLUE will thus provide a visitor with a comprehensive insight into the interior possibilities—the atmosphere, quality, and feeling—available in an AMELS 171.

Amels will also be revealing, for the first time in the USA, the second in the LIMITED EDITIONS series, the AMELS 212. The AMELS 212 is also designed by Tim Heywood, and has a classic interior, with several variations, by Andrew Winch. Production is under way for the first AMELS 212, which is available for delivery in early 2010.
