Trying to find out how to put back the cap section of the magneto.
Pulled the 4 screws off that hold it on to Mag to check points.
there is a plastic gear which messes with a smaller brass gear ( near points)
is there timing marks? i took off the small cap where the rotor is located. the shaft of rotor attaches to the plastic gear on inside.
does anyone have any answers on how to set the timing on this mag.
I just ordered a parts and service manual. but just thought i would throw it out there at this point.

    Thanks for any help.

Thank you for the information. I guess that's what I've been looking for.
I printed it all off . Wish I could cancel the one I ordered.
    Thanks again

    Hi,

    Your welcome.

I copied your thread title and pasted it into Google, the result I posted for you was the first one with most of the search string words in the text I could see.
