Hi Sirs, I have this Ocean yachts that has 3 big holes on top of the side of the hull where the engine air grille is.
It sure lets air in but also lots of water when cruising .
I would like to build like a box and and put it on the inside on top of the 3 holes with some kind of filter on top so to lower the water intrusion from the grill, problem is don't know what kind of material to use .
It must let air in but not much water and last in a saltwater environment .
anybody has any experience with this ?

Bertram built a fiberglass box just inside of the side vent with 4" dia. blower. One on each side. Original Jabsco blowers seazed & replaced with SeaFlow brand that appear to have a better motor.

my boat does not have blowers, they draw enough air from the grills on the side of the hull, that is why I want to put like a filter there, to lower the water intrusion.
