Hi, Apologies in advance if this is in the wrong place... I am interested in identifying this sailboat. The logo is Hinckley, but that's the extent of what I can do! The photo is probably from the 60s, I believe my mother is the passenger furthest aft and her brother is holding the tiller (at an odd angle it seems to me, maybe that's not the tiller). My uncle died in 1971, so if it is him in the photo, it would be before that and likely 5-10 years before that. I resized the photo per forum rules so not an good as it could be. Thanks for any help.
Hard to tell the number of windows, but it looks awfully close to a Sou'wester 30...... Here's one for sale for comparison.... https://www.mcmichaelyachtbrokers.com/boat/1963/hinckley/sou-39-wester-30/2642/ (I think this link is within allowed parameters? If not my bad.....)
Odd, the boat for sale and the one pictured are both named "Puffin". I'm sure along with many other boats, but it does give me pause for thought! Thanks for your reply.
Don’t apologize for posting some boat porn!!! Beautiful.... I ve lost count of the number of times I ve noticed a gorgeous lady and then spotted the hinckley logo!!! Yesterday I stopped anchor a couple of hundred feet off a beautiful navy blue 70ish sloop. Great lines, nice shear, etc. had to look her up in the USCG DB. Sure enough... Brooklin Boatyard, Maine.
