The first Icon Yacht that is under construction will be launched soon as she is to attend the 2009 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). The first yacht is 62-meters long and features a design by Redman Whiteley Dixon (RWD). There is another 62-meter in build and these serve to be a proven platform for Icon to develop larger yachts from. Here is what the interior of the first Icon yacht will feature. http://www.iconyachts.eu/html/gallery_interior2.htm
I believe you know what you are talking about when you made that statement and you are a wise chap so I would heed your proclaimations.
Just curious, could you elaborate. I read a lot of reports on glossy magazines, and I always wounder the part of redactional advertising and real report. An inside view would be interresting Thanks
inside vs outside seems like in this case it is better to be outside than inside, i presume there is not much to view inside
Icon 95M Just saw a print illustration of this vessel the other day...interesting looking. Icon Yachts unveiled 95m superyacht at Abu Dhabi
Brian, I did a piece on this way back in March. See here: http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/yacht-news-builds-launches/10885-new-design-icon-95-meter.html?highlight=Icon+Yachts
The much anticipated first Icon 62 will be on display at this year's Monaco Yacht Show in September, mooring N04 North Jetty. Stand number QS107.
The first Icon motor yacht arrived in Monaco about 2 days ago and is now in place for the start of the show today. She looks a good contemporary design.
Icon yachts have optimized their website and have renderings, both interior and profiles of the projects "Midlandia" and "Florida". Pictures of the first Icon 62 are also available.
"Midlandia" will be more like the first ICON that was launched for the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). Only hting she will have a different interior and have a blue hull. Project Florida will be a little different in her exterior styling. For some reason Florida looks like a version of "Kogo", do you all see it too? http://www.iconyachts.eu
Lots of new designs on the Icon website. Check them out! http://www.iconyachts.eu/the-yachts/y-design-studies/1/7/page/2
Big Change at ICON Hi, I have it on good authority that Wim Koersfelt has been given the push from ICON. The other frontman Jan Wartena is now the sole head of the operation.
Pictures of the "Baton Rouge" are on the Marinetraffic website. Not a bad design even though she looks a lil' chubby from some angles...
