Can anyone help me locate a EHT (flyback) transformer for a Furuno FR-7061 or a working unit? These units were not imported into Australia and finding an alternative is difficult. The Open Array Scanner is great condition. If I can locate a working unit it will save me a stack of grief and money installing a new digital unit.

I would start calling the electronics companies in the Ft. Lauderdale - Miami area and see if they know or have any units sitting around. They might know what other Furuno models used that transformer too.

As Capt Bill said, look up the electronics places in FL. Aside of Ft. Lauderdale & Miami, There are some god ones up in West Palm & Riviera Beach. I've found old Furuno components and working units on Ebay. Also simply Google "used marine electronics". Someone out there has one sitting on a shelf.

This is an active part @ Furuno 000-171-028. $655.00

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks

Thanks all for your help. I have sent a request to Fruno USA who have passed it onto Jaopan. Hopefully I'll get a positive result. I have had no luck finding a second hand unit from anywhere.
