Heesen announces a new sale for new construction on the opening day of the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). The vessel is a 59-meter superyacht to be built under the name Project 'Skyfall', the yard number is 19959. The design is by Omega Architects with a striking colour scheme and Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF). The project name Skyfall has been thrown around by a few builders in the past, Benetti had a project with this name and so did Sunrise Yacht now Heesen. A 58-meter Trinity also had the name Skyfall!

The design brief was to show a fast-looking yacht that presents the the 22,000 horse power in such a way that she just looks fast... looking fast...35-36-knot top speed. The aft deck transom area will be fitted with a fighting chair because the owner wants to partly use the vessel as a fisherman. The colours will be a dessert tan colour, black and a red stripe along the superstructure.

Project 'Skyfall' taking shape at Heesen.

In a complex operation over several days in September, three large mobile cranes lowered the main engines onto their mounts, and then hoisted the superstructure into place over the waiting hull. An exercise involving meticulous planning and precision engineering, it all went without a hitch. Project SkyFall will now remain in shed number nine for outfitting until Spring 2023, when she will leave the harbour of Oss for intensive trials in the North Sea. SkyFall will reach an extraordinary top speed of 37-knots in light load conditions, thanks to the 22,000 horsepower produced by four MTU 20V4000 engines driving four Kongsberg S90 water jets.

Thanks for sharing this video, was wondering why they only fit 2 of the 4 Mtu engines?
