Where can I obtain an original driving console for a 1967 sportfisherman Hatteras 41 for the flying bridge
There is a company that removes these old consoles and installs new updated modules near the Old Hat plant. Most of the new stuff is custom but the old stuff must get piled up somewhere. I read about them in PBR mag long ago. Maybe someone here on the thread can come up with a company name.
Slane Marine in High Point, NC does restorations and has some of the old molds for Hatteras. Tom Slane is Willis Slane's son. Founder of Hatteras.
If you are in PR, and just need a console and not doing an original restoration, I would have a console built to fit my height, controls, electronics, etc etc. It's a good time to do some upgrades. You would have to get the thing shipped from NC.
I would agree with this. A console should be a relatively normal/easy thing for a good fiberglass guy to make.
I did not notice the PR address. Then, the shipping to PR would be a killer. Even I would look for a local glass man.
