    I have one of these units, in looking at the specs. it says great up to a 40' boat. My boat is 42'. I guess I don't uderstand what the boat's size, other than field of view has to do with the radar doing it's job? I'm new so I apologize if this is a stupid question, but the manufacturers answer wasn't much better.

    None of that matters. They want to push a bigger and more expensive radar on bigger boats :)

    If they buy me a bigger more expensive boat, I'll buy one of their bigger more expensive radars. Thanks Pascal. I thought I was missing something.......
