Had a insurance survey recently performed on our 1987 Post 43. One of the recommendations was our aft fuel tank fuel fill connections at the top off the tank were showing signs of cracking.
There is a 5" in length wire reinforced hose connections from the copper fuel fill line and fuel vent line to the tank fittings. I removed the fill hose and vent hose. My measurement of each hose was 2-1/4" ID for the fill hose and 1-1/4" ID for the vent. Can anyone confirm these measurements? The hoses appear to be original and there were no markings on the hose themselves. Sorry for the poor photo.

    Thank you.

I'm not sure of hose size myself but tubing (not pipe) is usually measured in O D.
Hose is usually measured in I D. What you are measuring should be very close, not perfect but close enough to work.

Wire reinforced hose? Thru my years I have learned to avoid wire reinforced hoses in these applications. Sometimes the hose has to clamp down a bit, sometimes it has to expand a bit to fit that tubing. Not going to happen with wire reinforced hose.
IMO, it will last longer also.
If bonding is a concern, then run proper bonding wire or straps. You don't want that steel wire in contact with that copper.
Use the best, solid band hose clamps (ABA like or T bolt).
Don't forget the fill connect and other possible joints.
