    I'm sure the insurance companies are going to total each and every MY. What will the owners typically do in this case... look for another used boat, new boat... or get out altogether?

    Insured boat owners (that can't sell their boats) refer to hurricanes as their best friends. In some cases, they don't use storms as an excuse (if you know what I mean). Frankly, I don't need either one of them as friends. They're both reasons why our insurance rates are so high.
