The statutory authority under which these seizures are happening is not very clear and is reasonably untested in US courts. So, what eventually happens to these vessels remains something of an uncertainty. They might eventually get sold at auction...or they might be used as negotiations levers when it comes time to end this brutal war. But, if they are eventually liquidated, even if the current or future administration would like to simply give the money to Ukraine, it likely could not do that absent additional legislation passed by the US Congress.

Yes, she was/is in Trogir's shipyard (or somewhere around that drydock) from the end of March '22, after they moved it from the public eyes. Before that she was in Rijeka (saw her there in mid March), her winter berth after Monaco. Now Croatian court ruled and handed it over to 'Ukrainian Asset Recovery and Management Agency' to put it up for auction.
