A quick look at the start of a full refit of a classic 126' Feadship.

    And update.

I guess this is the van Lent built as Claybeth in 1978. With previous names as Sharon S, Highlander, Virginian and Lady Allison, she is yachting history....

Oh blimey! If she's the old Highlander/Virginian, I've been on her many times. We were next to each other for the '85/86 season in the Virgin Islands.

I saw a very recent (last week) photo of Claybeth on the hard in Virginia, so I would guess this in a different beauty.

You're right AMG. I have a very slow VSat connection, and couldn't open the original post. But I did see the other old Highlander (canoe stern) in Virginia last week, which led to my confusion.

That is a major league shipyard. The work should be extraordinary.

I just stumbled across this old thread. Ironically, I joined as her captain in 2018 and have been aboard since.

Ah, a Feadship now! And a yacht that looks like a yacht too, must be nice... Have a great cruise and a Happy New Year!

There's an interesting interview with Owners about the refit on the Boat International web-site.
