Erie Barge canal...20' 10" will I make it???

    Ive been through many times, but never cutting it this close. Fully loaded with everything cleared off the hard top, Im at 20'10" will I make it?

    It's 21' from Waterford to Three Rivers. So depending on the state of the river I guess you just might.

    Only one way to find out. :)

    It depends...... The bridge just North of the Troy, NY lock is reported a minimum of 20'2. If you go right when the locks open and water levels are really high from the snow melt, you probably won't make it. However, it can have more clearance than 20'2.......I'd recommend either bringing a lot of 55 gallon drums and filling them with water......flooding bilges, or whatever you need to do in order to get the clearance in case you have to.
