    FACEBOOK OR FLINTSTONES generation appeal

The new America’s Cup now targets the Facebook generation and not the
Flintstone generation. Meanwhile the O’Pen BIC nails the bullseye... a
modern & cool boat to keep kids excited for sailing.

See why fleets are happening all over. The O’Pen BIC uses new-age design
and recyclable materials in a rocket-ship hull and contemporary rig. Just two
minutes to rig, completely self-bailing, no maintenance, less expensive.
Capsizing is now fun! Bottom line? Kids can’t wait to sail O’pen BICs.

You sound like you're trying to sell those BICs Brian. :p

They're definitely a great concept though. I remember reading about them 3 or 4 years ago when they were brand new.... thought it would be loads of fun for my son. I wonder how much they're selling for though?

Did sort of sound like a sales pitch, didn't it

No, I was just not aware of these boats...too much time with bigger ones. i was pretty heavy involved with small boats in some beach rentals operations years ago. We taught thousands to sail. Our primary vessel types were beach cats, and a small scow type vessel. I would have loved to had these vessels in service in those rental operations in lieu of the scows.

That's right we also had some sunfish type vessels as well (jog those memory cells )). Those were nice as the sail area was more manageable. but these Bics would be even lighter in weight to move up and down the beach for launching, and probably less vulnerable to damage.
