Could someone please me because I need accurate draft measurements for a 2000 48' SS versus a 56' SS. I see varying numbers from dealers.

You will see varying numbers based on load and based on specific model as many change over the years. They're all just approximations and to be sure you'd have to measure. What numbers are you seeing?

If draft is that critical of a component, make your contract subject to all of the norms and add that draft measurement to the requirements, verified in survey during the haul.

    I'm seeing about 4'5" for the 56' and 4'1" for the 48'

Which models are you referring to, a Superhawk 48 and a Predator 56?
If so, and if a few inches are critical for your cruising habits, I'd be more concerned by the fact that in very shallow waters you can raise the legs with the former, while there's nothing you can do with the shafts of the latter.

He's referring to an Ocean 48' SS and an Ocean 56' SS. Clue is where he posted.

On another note regarding draft. In todays interesting YF post on Pendennis' new build Fox it quotes (accurately) a claim that the draft is 14 and a half feet. Isn't that rather a lot in a 114 foot boat? Or no? Just curious.

I almost choked on my bottle of water on that. We just took delivery last year on a 116' boat with a draft of 4'. So, now you have the two extremes.
