Hi guys, Are there any websites that allow you type in where you want to set off from and then type in where you want to go to and then calculate the distance that it will take to get from A to B by boat also allowing you to set the boat speed you will be traveling with in MPH is there any such easy to use website similar to what multimap does for cars but a site for boats? look forward to your replies Many thanks in advance
for the commercial ports there is http://www.distances.com/ but i feel its only useful for a general idea.
thanks for the links guys I looked at distances.com and it only allows you to look up world major ports, do you know of other ones? I am simply looking to travel on holiday to spain, i will be in calpe which is in north costa blanca and i am looking to hire a speed boat to make a trip to tarifa which is 450 miles away by car, so i want to find out how long it will take to go by boat during the day traveling at 35 MPH, do you know of a easy to use site that will allow me to check this up? TIA
I've found this distance calculator to be quite useful for rough estimates... you can put in several points and it will measure point to point in a straight line... http://www.daftlogic.com/Projects/Google-Maps-Distance-Calculator/
Guys, Here is another free nautical distance calculator (if you only need 5 per day).. I use this one every day for voyage estimates on ships. http://netpas.net/products/product_detail_DT.php
using a PDA with GPS Hi if you have a PDA (Windows Mobile) with a GPS receiver, you can use my software. look at http://sourceforge.net/projects/pda-navigation/ This programm calculate distances between coordinates, so you should have the coords of starting / actual point and any destination. I'm developing this in my lasure time and have now an early working state. Any suggestions are welcome.
Have a look at: http://www.hartmanseatrade.nl/ and go to "downloads" - "software". You can download a number of distance calculation applications there. PS - the Hartman brothers run a heavy-lift shipping company, with a new (and fast) vessel. They also do yacht transport. (have a look under projects and archive) Bruno
I have a question for YES. What makes your product different then the other shadow/support builders? I did like your site, and would also like to ask if the Lady Lola Shadow is still named as such or was sold with her mother boat?
Hi, MP-Willow I think you posted that question to Stan in the wrong thread. He is very unlikely to see it unless someone points it out to him. Why don't you start a new thread. I am sure it will lead to a lively discussion especially if several shadow boat builders get involved.
Shadow boat builds! Ok, I will try posting as a new thread. So look for it, title for Shadow boat builds.
