A yacht can be just toooo big > here is Dilbar , seen squeezed into her berth at Porto Cervo at the end August
(wouldn't you be a tad upset if you were the owner of one of the other megayachts - each of which is over 80mts - and you couldn't look out of your saloon windows or sunbathe because your neighbour literally and figuratively put you in the shade). While writing, does anyone know anything about Pillar Rossi , an unusual and lovely catamaran that I saw moored just outside Porto Cervo?

    Hi,

I found this about the sail boat.

    Yacht name: Pilar Rossi
    Length: 211 ft • 64 m
    Year: 1989 • Refit: 2007
    Builder: Alucraft
    Refit: Mauricio Piquet
    Rig: Formula Yacht Spars

Pilar Rossi, Nelson Piquet's extraordinary conversion from medium sized motoryacht to sailing megayacht.

The refit took place at the Inace yard in Brazil.
You can see a lot of pictures at their website.

Before her refit Pilar Rossi was the sister ship to Pari.

Actually none of the other yachts in the first photo are over 80-meters except Dilbar ofcourse. From left to right, Secret, Gu, Lady Lola, Dilbar, the Former Dilbar(oceAnco), Indian Princess.

The former Dilbar is renamed Ona.

Here's what it's like being in the middle of two 200'ers.

Yes Carl, it looks like a Westport 130. What I find though, is that these pics would make great for trivia questions because I was trying to figure out what were the two '200 footers' on either side. With the grey hull I would guess that she is an Oceanfast, could it be OutBack?. As for the white yacht, I am not sure. Ychrtcptn where are you?

    Hi,

I think the photo was taken in St Barths

Ron, Good guess on Outback I did an Image search and see it has those same sticky out bridge wings and a grille just behind the Port one.

My guess came from the grey hull, the rounded port wing and the shape of the bridgewindows and roof structure. The the crew member in the Red shirt also gave me a hint because I know Outback's crew members wear red shirts.

Dilbar is a monster!!  Where can we see more of her? I can understand why Pilar is moored outside, her beam must be at least 40'.

The current Dilbar is a beast of a yacht in terms of her size. She has Ona (ex Dilbar) look like a large tender. Ona is by no means a small yacht!
