The Diesel Duck 462 is a true, blue water passagemaker, with features found on boats costing twice as much. “Belle” has been custom built without compromise, under the supervision of a professional Marine Surveyor. This is not your average Duck, and features a robust electrical system with dual 110/220V- 50/60 Hz systems, proper ground tackle, a large sail rig for both stabilization and propulsion, paravane stabilization, fully optioned, and a comprehensive electronics package. Manufactured by Seahorse Marine and the attention to detail is evident throughout. Fitted with a beautiful teak interior and trimmed on a par with any high quality boat.

High quality, shot peened ship steel, sand blasted inside and out, three coats of International Paints epoxy primer interior and exterior, four coats of epoxy primer on the bottom, plus International Paint bottom paint and Dupont Imron colour top coat. Construction to China Ship Classification Society (CCS) practice. CCS certified weld X-ray of the entire hull and internal structural steel, CCS incline test.
Watertight crash bulkhead in the bow, with commercial ship quality, dogged down hatch.
Four commercial, dogged down, aluminium seadoors on the interior bulkheads (5 watertight compartments total).

Pilothouse windows are 10mm toughened glass plate with integral storm cover bosses.
Pilothouse tinted side window option, while the front 5 windows are not tinted.

The DC electrical system is designed for redundant backup and international operation. The boat is capable of running the aft cabin air-con/heat overnight on the batteries. Since the total inverter capacity is 6 Kva and the alternators are 280A, the boat can operate while underway using the alternators and inverters only – the gen set is not required. At anchor, the 240A of charging capacity insures rapid, but safe, charging of the house bank with minimal genset run time, or rapid charging on shore power.
