With opening day news from the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival in the news cycle, other announcements still are emerging from the show as it continues into its second day. News regarding Azimut and Volvo Penta's collaboration with the Seadeck 7 yacht, Doggersbank unveiled two new additions to its explorer series - Doggersbank 90 Offshore and 105 Offshore-. The ICONICA 100 is the latest from Austin Parker.

The Seadeck 7 is described as the world’s first yacht that has successfully integrated hybrid power with Volvo Penta IPS propulsion. The yacht has been made with as much as 40% carbon fiber in its design which helps make it lighter as well as stronger overall. The Seadeck 7 boasts not only enhanced performance but also a notable reduction in CO2 emissions – potentially by as much as 40% annually compared to traditional yachts of similar size. The Seadeck 7 leverages cutting-edge hybrid-electrics derived from Volvo Penta’s helm-to-propeller package, enabling uninterrupted operation without the need for a generator. Boasting the ability to cruise silently at speeds of up to 11-knots in pure electric mode, the vessel offers up to 12 hours of zero-emission anchoring. "Our goal is to significantly reduce CO2 emissions, especially in the popular segment of vessels under 24 meters," remarked Giovanna Vitelli, Chair of Azimut|Benetti Group. "The Volvo Penta hybrid-electric package enhances usability, reduces fuel consumption, and elevates the onboard experience. We are set to redefine industry standards." Deliveries are set to begin in 2026.

Doggersbank since being revived has been back with a bang with new models. The latest were announced at the show with the Doggersbank 90 Offshore and the 105 Offshore being the newest on offer. The 90 Offshore offers more space than previous models and as expected is designed by Vripack. The extra space materializes in further optimized guest cabins as well as enlarged crew accommodation.

The Doggersbank 105 Offshore takes the same idea but employing it on a physically larger vessel. Owners will now have a 4-cabin layout on the 105 Offshore and the space to add an additional crew cabin or area. 8-person jacuzzis have been added to both models which now sit forward of the tender storage area. Doggersbank is allow owners to have the option of hybrid propulsion too. This will allow for quiet emission-free night operations pulling from the onboard battery bank.

Austin Parker unveiled the Navetta-styled ICONICA 100. It is the newest addition to the Austin Parker lineup as announced at the show. More broadly the announcement is about a new range of vessels which fall under two range names, UNICA and ICONICA. UNICA is a range of catamarans of which the UNICA 58 is on display at the show. ICONICA 100 is the first in a range of Navetta type yachts. The ranges are designed in partnership with Pininfarina and Fulvio de Simoni. "Austin Parker’s new range of yachts represents our commitment to innovation, luxury, and sustainability," said Mr.Nalcaci, president of Austin Parker. "Inspired by the UNICA58, which was presented last year at Cannes, and embodying the spirit of Pininfarina and De Simoni, these new yachts reflect our dedication to excellence and our vision for the future of yachting."
