anyone going to the Dania Fl. marine flea market? Any good or bad experiences purchasing things there?
Lots of junk, but a few jewels... I will probably be going Saturday or Sunday if the weather is good.
I got a pair of great offshore rods and reels there last year. Very good deal! You need to walk around and look pretty close for the great deals. There is all kinds of stuff! I might go again this year.
I won't be there this year since I'm on the other side of the world, but have been going to it for years. It's a great place to get rid of gear after a refit and pick up odds and ends and parts for older unsupported gear. If there's something specific you're looking for, it's best to be there durring set up.
looking for a replacement for my sentry battery charger, tired of turning it off so it wont cook my 8d's. Would consider charger/ inverter. 2-5 year old electronics would be nice, budget does not allow for new. Will probably stop in FT. Pierce for a used hardtop at the surplus place. I bought a 1980 46' post sportfish that had extensive fire damage. Two years later I am ready to start spending money instead of labor.
The Dania Marine Flea Market is always a nice place to walk around and look at nautical stuff. There is a lot of junk, but also some jewel's. I've found it's a good place for deals on fishing equipment and tackle, clothing and some types of new parts. But as with anything you have to know the prices on what you're buying. All in all for the cheap entry fee, I'd say it's a good place to kick around for a day if you like those types of things.
