Sri Lanka is not the typical destination when you think about yachting but a huge marina project is being developed there called the Colombo City Marina with capacity for 243 berths catering to mid to superyacht sized yachts. “The Colombo City Marina, is designed to become Sri Lanka’s new luxury maritime destination. Located at the crossroads of international maritime routes, the new marina ideally positions Sri Lanka to become a hub for luxury yachting”, stated Priyantha Perera of Asia Pacific Superyachts Sri Lanka. The marina itself is anticipated to open in 2027.
